About NorfolkTrades

NorfolkTrades is operated by Alan Hunt. It is an online business directory and jobs platform designed to connect customers with local businesses and tradespeople throughout Norfolk.

These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, customers, businesses, and members.

Memberships

Businesses may purchase a NorfolkTrades membership to create and maintain a business listing. Membership features, pricing, and benefits are displayed on the website and may be updated from time to time.

Payments

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By purchasing a membership, you agree to pay the applicable membership fee and recurring payments associated with your chosen subscription. You are responsible for keeping payment information current. Failure to maintain a valid payment method may result in suspension or removal of membership benefits.

Cancellations & Refunds

Memberships may be cancelled at any time. If cancelled, the listing and benefits remain active until the end of the current paid billing period and no further payments will be taken.

Fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable once a billing period has begun, except where applicable law requires otherwise. NorfolkTrades may issue refunds for duplicate payments, billing errors, exceptional circumstances, or where legally required.

Founding Member cancellation permanently removes Founding status, badge, number benefit and Lifetime Loyalty pricing.

Business Listings

Businesses are responsible for ensuring submitted information is accurate, lawful, and current.

• Supported social media links
• Images
• Business descriptions
• Reviews and responses
• Service information

NorfolkTrades does not verify every claim and cannot guarantee all user-provided information.

Jobs Board

NorfolkTrades allows users to post jobs and connect directly with businesses. It does not guarantee posting accuracy, business availability, responses, secured work, or service quality. Any agreement is solely between the customer and business. NorfolkTrades charges no lead fee or commission.

Reviews & User Content

Users are responsible for content they submit, including reviews, comments, images, jobs, listings, messages and submissions.

• False or misleading information
• Fraudulent reviews
• Defamatory content
• Offensive, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory content
• Spam
• Unlawful content
• Content that infringes the rights of others

NorfolkTrades may remove, edit, moderate, or refuse content where reasonably necessary under platform policy and applicable law.

Acceptable Use

• Do not use NorfolkTrades unlawfully
• Do not attempt unauthorised access
• Do not interfere with platform operation
• Do not upload malicious software or harmful content
• Do not harvest user information
• Do not create fake accounts or listings
• Do not manipulate reviews or ratings
• Do not use the platform in a way that may damage NorfolkTrades or its users

Account Suspension & Termination

NorfolkTrades may reject, suspend, restrict, or terminate content, membership or access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud, abuse, misleading information, harassment, fake reviews, policy breaches, legal compliance, or platform protection.

Where action results from a material breach, refunds may be withheld except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Limitation of Liability

Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Reasonable efforts are made to maintain availability and accuracy, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NorfolkTrades shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, business, contracts, reputation or data, disputes between users, or user actions. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Intellectual Property

NorfolkTrades branding, logos, graphics, design and owned intellectual property remain the property of NorfolkTrades unless stated otherwise. They may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or exploited without prior written permission.

Changes to These Terms

Updated Terms may be published on this page and become effective in accordance with applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, while preserving mandatory consumer rights.
