Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers, built around fairness.

Learn how search, reviews, jobs, memberships and Founding recognition work.

For customers

How does business search work?

Choose a trade and Norfolk location. Results use relevance and genuine customer reputation, never paid placement.

Why are rankings fair?

Businesses cannot pay for higher rankings. Standard, Premium and Founding status are excluded from ranking calculations.

How do I contact a business?

Use the telephone and enquiry actions on a genuine public business profile to contact the business directly.

How do reviews work?

Reviews must come from genuine customer experiences and may be moderated when reported or when platform rules require it.

How do I post a job?

Sign in to a customer account, describe the genuine work required and publish it to the Jobs Board.

For businesses

What is the difference between Standard and Premium?

Standard is £19.99/month. Premium is £24.99/month and adds richer profile media and analytics. It does not improve ranking, Jobs access or homepage placement.

Can I pay to rank higher?

No. NorfolkTrades has no featured or sponsored listings and no paid ranking advantage.

Do both plans include the Jobs Board?

Yes. Standard and Premium businesses receive equal Jobs Board access.

When does my profile become visible?

After account verification, successful membership payment and completion of the required business information, unless the account is suspended.

How do billing and plan changes work?

Stripe provides recurring monthly billing. Upgrades take effect immediately with proration; downgrades take effect at renewal with no mid-cycle refund. Standard is £19.99/month and Premium is £24.99/month outside the Founding programme.

What happens if I cancel?

Public membership benefits end under the confirmed cancellation rules. Founding status, its badge, number and Loyalty pricing are permanently lost.

Can I respond to reviews?

The business dashboard provides review controls while moderation and authenticity rules continue to apply.

Founding Members

Who can become a Founding Member?

The programme is limited to the first 200 qualifying businesses that complete registration, verify their account and activate a paid membership while places remain.

How does Founding pricing work?

Four Year One tiers apply to Founding numbers 1–200. #001 is reserved for existing customer JT Builders, so automatic allocation starts at #002. Lifetime Loyalty pricing begins after Year One while membership remains continuously active.

What are the number and badge?

Each qualifying business receives an exclusive badge and permanent Founding number recognising its early support.

Does Founding status affect ranking?

No. It is recognition only and is excluded from search ranking.

Can cancelled Founding status return?

No. Cancellation permanently removes Founding status, its badge, permanent number benefit and Lifetime Loyalty pricing.
